Pet mum Kimberley used Petraveller to relocate her charming Domestic Shorthair Basil from Melbourne to Washington D.C. Kimberley talks about Basil’s beautiful personality and explains why she chose Petraveller for his international move.
Basil was found alone in a construction site as an eight-week-old kitten with no microchip. Kimberley gave him a roof above his head, and Basil became a permanent member of their family. Kimberley shares, “Basil has been my little best friend ever since. I used to live on 20 acres with horses, and Basil came with me whenever I had to do chores like feeding or mucking out the horses and fixing fencing etc. He loves being involved and is a pretty outgoing cat, especially when he’s near me. However, Basil can get anxious when he can hear but can’t see me.”
Basil is a very affectionate cat who thrives on any sort of attention. Kimberley says, “Basil loves to be picked up and cuddled and will happily lay over my shoulder while I do housework, excluding the vacuum. Basil is happiest when he’s in my arms. He’s very food motivated and can be won over by treats, especially liquid ones! Basil can be quite vocal if he wants or needs something.”
The Norris family was moving to Washington D.C. Kimberley says, “My husband is American, and we’re heading back to his home soil to be closer to his family. Basil was moving with them as Kimberley couldn’t imagine moving without her fur baby.
Kimberley decided to take help from a reputed pet transportation company to manage Basil’s move to Washington D.C. She contacted Petraveller and handed over the responsibility of managing Basil’s relocation to the United States. Kimberley says, “Petraveller has amazing customer reviews online! The feedback was positive and the quotes were competitive compared to other pet travel companies.”
Basil had a great flight and landed safely in Washington D.C. Thank you, Kimberley, for trusting Petraveller with precious Basil. Here’s wishing the Norris family a wonderful time with beloved Basil in the United States.
