Georgia’s adorable doggy Bertie travelled to New York from Melbourne with Petraveller. Here is his pet relocation story.
Albert, or Bertie as Georgia calls him, is a quiet and timid Maltese Shih Tzu. He loves snuggles, and his favourite thing to do is play with his toys. Georgia says, “Bertie is very sweet. He has never shown aggression towards anybody, young or old. He dislikes loud noises and being chased, and can’t stand crowds of people.
Bertie is also a bit of a dork and quite lazy. Georgia says, “Bertie loves sleeping under the covers. He is a fluff ball of energy and enjoys running around. He is also extremely shy when he meets new people and gets scared easily.
Georgia had moved to the United States with her partner. She arranged for Bertie to relocate as soon as they were settled enough to have him over. Georgia was anxious that Bertie was going on this long flight alone. She says, “Bertie is everything to me. I was extremely nervous that he would be traumatised by the flight. I thought he would need as much comfort as possible.”
