Here’s the ‘pawfect’ relocation story of cheeky Jack Russell Terrier cross Cruiser who recently travelled from Melbourne to Stockholm with Petraveller. Read to know more about Cruiser and his international pet relocation experience to Stockholm.
Elf met Cruiser for the first time when she babysat him for a friend. Soon after that, she adopted him and made him a part of her family, and Cruiser has never left Elf’s side from that day on. Elf smiles and says, “Cruiser has learnt how to play with other dogs but likes to wander off on his own sometimes after he’s said hello to everyone.”
Cruiser is a very laid back doggo. Elf talks about her pet’s quirky nature, “Cruiser loves lying upside down on a soft bed on rainy days. He strolls and trots around and likes picking up strange things and bringing them home. Cruiser regulates what he eats. Sometimes he will leave half of his dinner and eat the rest as a snack in the middle of the night. He also does a funny thing where he fasts once a week. We still put his food out, but he decides not to eat it!”
Elf laughs and continues, “Cruiser has a thing with wet grass, he doesn’t like walking on it! He is very much an explorer. There have been a few times where he has wandered off.”
Elf recalls a funny incident, “Once, we were having a coffee at a cafe, and Cruiser went behind one of the dividers that usually displays the coffee brand. He was on his lead, and we couldn’t see him on the other side. I decided to get up and check on him, and he had chewed most of the way through his lead and was down to the last few threads! Cheeky.”
Elf was moving to Stockholm, Sweden, to do some travelling. “Leaving Cruiser behind was not an option. The thought of that makes my chest hurt,” says Elf.
Elf began looking into Cruiser’s international travel to Sweden and requested a quote from an animal transport company. She says, “After the initial contact, I emailed them with some simple questions but never got a reply. I decided to call thinking the email was misplaced and left a message but never got a call back.”
Elf decided to complete the animal transport process herself. Unfortunately, due to airline rules, Elf was unable to complete the process on her own.
Elf reached out to Petraveller to handle her pet’s relocation. She says, “Petraveller answered all my questions and considered my requests regarding quote comparison. Petraveller informed me of their decisions in a clear and concise manner.”
Elf adds, “Ultimately, Petraveller’s communication has been excellent, which I strongly think is the utmost important factor in this whole process as well as the pet care. I love the colour and quality of the transport crate, and it is solid as a rock. Petraveller has rekindled my faith and trust in the pet transport industry. I am very happy.”
Cruiser had a fantastic flight from Melbourne to Stockholm and was a well-behaved passenger. Thank you, Elf, for trusting Petraveller to relocate your precious dog Cruiser. We wish you happy travels and lots of fun and adventures with Cruiser out there in Stockholm.
