The Campbell family moved back to London from Australia with their beloved cats, Doogie and Rey. This is their relocation story.
Doogie became part of the Campbell family when they rescued him and his brother from a shelter in Somerset, UK in 2012. Unfortunately, Doogie's brother died two years later in an accident. Josephine remembers, "We were wondering about whether or not to get another cat when we heard a kitten meowing in our hedge. That turned out to be Rey; she was stuck and had been there a while. We rescued her and before long decided she should stay with us. We introduced the two cats gradually, and now they get on so well and love each other's company."
Doogie and Rey are both affectionate cats who love being around people. Josephine says, "Doogie is an insanely friendly cat. He is always seeking out attention and affection. He tries and gets as close to your face as possible. Rey enjoys human company but in a more subtle way - she seeks out strokes but prefers to sit a couple of metres away."
Josephine and Robert were moving back to their hometown in Somerset, UK and naturally had to take the cats along. The Campbells were concerned about the move because the cats get nervous in unfamiliar surroundings as they seldom left home.
Josephine and Robert decided to take the services of Petraveller to help with pet transport from Australia to London. They had used Petraveller when they shipped the cats from Melbourne to Sydney back in 2017. Josephine says, "I was impressed with the service when the cats flew from Melbourne to Sydney. A colleague also recommended Petraveller after flying her dog back home to Ireland from Australia."
Doogie and Rey made the journey effortlessly and are now enjoying their new lives in the countryside in Somerset with the Campbell family. Thank you, Josephine, for choosing Petraveller to fly your adorable kitties. Here's to new adventures in Somerset!
