Karen gave two adorable cat siblings, Dot and Trouble, a new home when she adopted them from the RSPCA. Karen chats about her pets and why she partnered with Petraveller for their international pet travel to Berlin.
Born in September 2018, Dot and Trouble are sisters from the same litter. Karen adopted them in December 2018 from the RSPCA via the Pet Barn in Alexandria. Karen shares, “I have always had cats in my life except for the last few years, so my husband decided to surprise me and gave the cats to me as a Christmas present.”
Karen continues, “Originally, I was going to name the cats Dot and No Dot because of Dot’s big orange dot on the top of her head. After a few weeks, my husband remarked that No Dot really is more of a ‘Trouble’ cat because she’s very vocal and likes a lot of attention.”
The Spiller family were moving to Berlin, Germany. Karen says, “We are moving to my home town Berlin to be with my parents. Due to Australia’s Covid-19 travel restrictions, I have been unable to visit them for the last one-and-a-half years, which is unacceptable to me. There seems to be no end in sight to the strict travel restrictions here. So, we decided to relocate to be near my parents.”
Karen adds, “I did consider finding a new home for the cats due to the very high cost of transporting them to Germany, but I recently sold my Sydney apartment for a profit, and I’m now able to afford the fees.”
Karen decided to contact an international pet relocation company to help her with Dot and Trouble’s pet transport. She compared Petraveller and another pet transport company but decided to go ahead with Petraveller when she realised that the other company she contacted was in administration.
Dot and Trouble had a fantastic flight and reached their new home safely. Thank you, Karen. We appreciate you choosing Petraveller for beloved Dot and Trouble’s international relocation. We wish you a wonderful time with your family and your adorable pets in Germany.
