Here’s a beautiful story of playful Domestic Shorthair, Leilah, who travelled from Melbourne to Santiago with Petraveller. Read to know more about Leilah and her international pet travel experience.
The Gower family became pet parents to Leilah when they adopted her in 2017 from a vet’s clinic. Elizabeth smiles as she recalls, “We were impressed by Leilah’s friendly and playful personality.”
Elizabeth dearly adores her kitty. She says fondly, “Leilah loves being around us, but she’s also quite independent, doing her own things away from us. She demonstrates her love and affection for us by sitting on our laps as soon as we arrive home from an outing. At night, she sleeps in our bed on top of her special blanket.”
Elizabeth smiles and continues, “Leilah is a very caring cat. If she senses you are feeling a bit down, she will try to make you feel better by inviting you to follow her around and play hide and seek. It’s her favourite game, and it’s funny when she hides under the bed without realising her tail is giving her away. We pretend we don’t know where she is hiding and keep calling her out until she gives herself up by appearing next to us after a short while.”
The Gower family was heading back to their hometown in Santiago, Chile. Elizabeth says, “I retired from work because I want to look after my parents and get family support as all our relatives live in Chile.” Leaving her beloved fur baby behind was never an option for Elizabeth.
Elizabeth started her online search for a reliable and trustworthy pet transport agency and chose Petraveller to manage her pet’s international relocation to Santiago. Elizabeth says, “I was looking at different companies on Google. When asked for a quote, Petraveller was the first to get back to me.”
We are more than happy to say that Leilah made her journey with great ease and landed safely in Santiago. Thank you, Elizabeth, for allowing Petraveller to relocate precious Leilah to Chile. We wish you the best and lots of cuddles to sweet Leilah.
