Kelpie cross Lettuce was a happy doggy on his journey from Sydney to Amsterdam. Get to know more about Lettuce and his international pet relocation experience.
Elmar and his family moved from the Netherlands to Australia for work in 2017. He says, “We wanted to bring our dog as well, but a few months before travel, he suddenly died from a stomach torsion. We decided after arrival in Canberra to adopt a dog and found Lettuce pretty quickly.” Elmar adds, “At that time, he was only six months old, so we had some education to do. Now, three-and-a-half years later, he is an active but very easy and kind dog.”
Lettuce is a wonderful dog. Describing his pet’s personality, Elmar says, “Being a Kelpie and Lab cross, Lettuce is a very easy-going and active dog. He likes to chase his ball forever and knows when to rest when the toys have been put away. He’s smart, learns tricks quite easily and listens well. Lettuce is great with kids too.”
The Hermans family moved to Canberra in 2017 for four years and were scheduled to move back to the Netherlands in July 2021. Elmer’s plans changed due to the coronavirus pandemic gripping the world. He says, “My wife moved to the Netherlands in June 2020 but we decided to keep Lettuce in Canberra for longer because he has a lot of freedom here. My wife really misses him, so we are sending him earlier than planned to his new home in the Netherlands.”
Elmar decided to use the services of an international pet relocation company to relocate his adorable boy Lettuce to Amsterdam. Based on a colleague’s recommendation, he reached out to Petraveller to handle his pet’s international move.
We are glad to say that Lettuce had a successful journey and arrived in Amsterdam safely. Elmer was very happy with Lettuce’s pet travel experience. He says, “Lettuce handled the long trip with ease and has settled in his new home. Thank you for all the good work.” Thank you, Elmar, for choosing Petraveller to relocate your precious dog Lettuce. We wish you the best on the move and hope Lettuce loves the outdoors of Amsterdam.
