Marlon and Clark were given a new lease of life when Megan adopted them from the Wagga Wagga pound. Pet mum Megan talks about Marlon and Clark and why she chose Petraveller for the pet transport to Frankfurt.
Megan adopted Marlon and Clark from the Wagga Wagga pound in June 2019. Megan recalls, “They are not biological brothers but were placed together as two very young single kittens without siblings.”
Marlon had a physical injury to his right eye, which needed to be removed. Megan says, “He never seems to be fazed by his one-eyed vision and jumps, runs and chases toys just like his brother Clark. Clark has an amazing half-moustache and fluffy medium grey-white hair. He is what you would call a ‘beautiful’ cat but came from the streets of Wagga just like his brother.”
Megan describes Marlon as a very outgoing cat. She smiles and says, “He’s the life of any party. He is happy to sit in anyone’s lap, especially if they are close to some sort of food. He has not lost his street cat origins and is very treat and food motivated. We’ve had several instances of shredded food packages at home.”
On the other hand, Clark is more of a shy kitty. Megan says, “Clark often follows Marlon’s lead and therefore is more outgoing when his brother is at his side. He loves to cuddle, especially in the evenings, and he’s the greatest lap snuggler. He is also quite the talker and chirps at you all day long. Not big meows, just little chirps and squeaks to let you know that he is around.”
Megan and her family were moving to Frankfurt, Germany, and leaving Marlon and Clark behind was never an option for them.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made international pet relocation more complicated and time-consuming because of the reduced flight capacities and other uncertainties. It was not an easy task for Megan to find a pet transport company to help her move her kitties to Frankfurt during the pandemic. During her search for an experienced pet relocation company, she came across Petraveller and reached out.
Megan says, “To be honest, Petraveller is the only pet transport company still answering emails and phone calls during this crisis. We are grateful for this during this crazy time. Petraveller’s quote was also a little cheaper than the other competitor quote which I received in January before the crisis. I was unable to get a return phone call from this competitor after COVID-19 hit the world.”
Despite the challenges during the pandemic, Marlon and Clark made it safely to Frankfurt and are now well settled in their new home. Thank you, Megan, for trusting us with your adorable kitties. We wish you good luck on the move and lots of cuddles to Marlon and Clark.
