“Millicent loves basking in the sun.”

Here’s the relocation story of a cheeky French Bulldog, Millicent, who loves basking in the sun until her fur is hot. Join Millicent on her international journey as she travels from Brisbane to Dallas Fort Worth with Petraveller.

Gorgeous Millicent became Lauren’s family pet two and a half years ago. Lauren says fondly, “Millicent is also known as Millie and affectionately as a pig. She is an affectionate, friendly and cheeky French Bulldog that loves hard!”

Speaking of Millicent’s favourite things to do, Lauren says, “Millicent loves finding a sunny spot inside or out or trying to find the smallest patch of sun and bask in it until her fur is hot. Her favourite pastimes are sitting at the front door and watching the world and people go by. When the door is closed, she will perch herself up on the lounge and become a watch guard.”

Lauren laughs and continues, “Millicent’s second favourite pastime is waiting until mum and dad have left the house and naughtily jumping up onto the blocked-off garden beds and deck, exploring and leaving dirty footprints on the outdoor lounge. Millicent has a little human sister who loves her dearly, she is very patient with her, and they have a special bond. Until recently, when we relocated, Millie had a brother, a thirteen-year-old Mini Schnauzer. Their bond grew over time, and they became the best snuggle buddies.”

Lauren talks about her pet’s vibrant personality. “Millicent is a funny, affectionate, clever and sometimes naughty little piggy. She loves to relax and take it easy but gets zoomies with her best friend Nala, a Jack Russell, as they play in the backyard. Millicent runs at full speed, then drops, and army rolls past Nala. Millicent is a mini shadow, she loves hard and will follow you everywhere you go and must be close by at all times,” says Lauren.

Lauren and her family were moving to Dallas Fort Worth. She says, “When we decided to relocate, we never thought of leaving Millicent behind. She is a part of our family, and we wanted to do everything in our ability to ensure our family could be together.”

Brachycephalic breeds like Millicent find it slightly harder to travel by air because of their snub noses. To ensure she was fit to fly, Millicent underwent airway surgery. Lauren says, “We think the new nose is super cute.”

Lauren began looking for a pet-friendly relocation company to transport Millicent safely from Brisbane to Dallas Fort Worth. After contacting a few pet relocation agencies in Australia, Lauren chose to go ahead with Petraveller. She says, “I felt supported by the team at Petraveller.”

Millicent was a happy traveller and reached Dallas Fort Worth in good health. Thank you, Lauren, for trusting Petraveller and allowing us to relocate dear Millicent. We wish you a wonderful life ahead with beloved Millicent in the United States.
