Elizabeth and her adorable German Shepard Cross Patti relocated from Sydney to Copenhagen. Elizabeth explains Patti’s role in her life and why she chose Petraveller for the relocation.
Elizabeth adopted Patti from an animal shelter in January 2019. Like any affectionate dog, Patti likes lots of pets and hugs. Elizabeth recalls, “When I first brought her home and sat on the ground, she immediately squeezed under my arm and onto my lap for hugs. She sees any human sitting on the ground as a human that is open for pats. She will seek out pats with a lot of determined nose-nudging. Patti can get nervous and wary of strangers. She enjoys rope tug and chewing up the inside of a toilet paper roll.”
Elizabeth had previously lived in Denmark for three years and decided to relocate there permanently. She says, “Patti brings a lot of joy and companionship to my life. I did consider briefly if she would be happier staying in Australia with a family, and if it was selfish of me to put her through the stress of moving. But I later realised that she is my pup and it would be a great betrayal to abandon her to an unknown carer, where she may not receive the required love and the correct number of hugs per day or protection from thunderstorms, the vacuum cleaner and other traumas.”
Elizabeth began looking for a pet relocation agency to help her with Patti’s pet travel to Denmark. She says, “I contacted several companies and Petraveller offered the most competitive price and the best customer service. The speed of Petraveller’s responses was particularly impressive and convincing.”
Patti made the long journey from Sydney to Denmark with great ease and is now well-settled in her new home. We thank you, Elizabeth, for entrusting us with your dear pet. We wish you good luck and wish Patti tons of hugs and cuddles.
