Sasha and Jamie

With the COVID-19 pandemic gripping the world, people have been forced to relocate home. So were Jamie and his cat Sasha. Jamie used Petraveller to relocate his pet from Sydney to London. He talks about Sasha and explains why he chose Petraveller for the pet relocation.

 

Jamie adopted Sasha from a cat cafe named Catmosphere. Jamie says, “My girlfriend went to the cafe regularly. When we saw that Sasha was available for adoption, we did a little research into whether we would be able to get her back to the UK. After finding out that we could, we adopted her.”

 

Speaking about Sasha’s nature, Jamie says, “We bought multiple toys for Sasha, but she went on to ignore them all. Sasha has to follow a strict diet, which we were not aware of in the beginning. One morning she woke us up individually to get us to feed her tuna, only for us to realise our mistake later on to her smug look.”

 

Jamie and his partner were moving back home to London, UK due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He says, “We originally planned to live and work in Sydney for one year. I was on a working holiday and my girlfriend was there as a student at UNSW. We had planned to take Sasha back with us in August, but due to the global pandemic, we had to return home as soon as possible and no pet travel agency was able to relocate her.” 

 

Jamie and his partner had to leave Sasha with the Cat Café where they got her from originally. He says, “Thankfully, my girlfriend had become close friends with the owners and workers there. They were willing to take her and gave us peace of mind knowing she would be safe.”

 

To relocate Sasha from Sydney to London, Jamie had a booking with another pet agency and had placed the deposit down to have Sasha transported in August as per their original plans. However, due to the pandemic he had to cancel his deposit and looked around for anyone to transport Sasha sooner than August. With all the chaos going around, Jamie reached out to Petraveller.
