Deborah and her darling Labrador Retriever Tilly moved from Sydney to Johannesburg with Petraveller. Deborah talks affectionately about Tilly and why she chose Petraveller for her international pet travel to Johannesburg.
Beautiful Labrador Retriever Tilly became a part of Deborah’s family when Tilly was eight months old. Deborah recalls, “We used to volunteer with Assistance Dogs Australia, and Tilly was training to be an assistance dog. She had separation anxiety, lacked focus and was very interested in the world around her. We worked with her for eight months, eliminated the separation anxiety, and sent her off to advanced training for two months.”
Deborah continues, “Although Tilly’s skills are very good, she was classified as being too friendly to become an assistance dog. Assistance Dogs Australia asked if we would like to make Tilly a permanent member of our family. We said yes, and now she is our assistance dog; we love her to bits.”
Tilly is super friendly, loves to play and to be patted or rubbed on her hind legs. Deborah laughs and says, “Tilly walks through your legs for hind leg pats. She will jump on adults, particularly men, more than women because she knows they can handle a bit of rough play. However, she is very gentle with kids.”
Speaking about her pet’s personality, Deborah says, “Tilly gets very excited in new environments and when with new people. But once she has had a sniff around and gets her bouncing around out, she calms down and chills out. She is very calm when we are around but gets a little nervous in new company. As long as there are friendly faces and pats, she’ll settle quickly.”
Deborah was moving to Johannesburg, and it was certain that Tilly would be joining her family in South Africa.
Like all pet parents planning an inter-continental move for their pet, Deborah was anxious about Tilly’s international travel. She wanted Tilly to have a comfortable and stressful-free travel experience. Hence, she decided to use an accredited pet transport company for Tilly’s relocation to Johannesburg. Deborah says, “I Googled pet travel options, and Petraveller stood out. They made me feel secure with their zero-harm rating, and I got the quote quickly. Petraveller chatted with me on the phone for ages and made me feel comfortable knowing that they have everything covered. I felt much more relaxed about Tilly travelling with Petraveller.”
Thank you, Deborah, for reaching out to Petraveller and your kind words of appreciation. Tilly had a pleasant journey and reached Johannesburg in great spirits. Here’s wishing Deborah and Tilly a wonderful life in South Africa!
