Zanthe, a gorgeous Staghound travelled with Petraveller from Melbourne to London. Here’s her pet relocation story.
Zanthe joined the Hepburn family in 2019 when she was adopted from a pound as a six-month old pup. Gregor says, “She had next to no training or socialisation with humans or dogs. She’s been going to work with my fiancé most days and stays in a crate under the nursing desk. She’s a very excitable and a very needy dog.”
Zanthe is very friendly, and sometimes over-friendly. Gregor says fondly, “We’ve had heaps of fun, and things are better now with a bit of training and socialisation. She smiles when she greets you, and I’m aware this is unnerving given she’s an intimidating size and full of life.”
Gregor adds, “She may become possessive over her crate if something frightens her during the flight. She has been wary of certain people from time to time. She’s not shown to be an aggressive dog by any means in the eleven months we’ve loved her.”
After living in Ballarat for the last two-and-a-half years, the Hepburn family were moving back home to Newmarket, UK for work. Leaving Zanthe behind was never an option for Gregor. He says, “She’s the best bit of Oz that we get to take home.”
Gregor began his hunt for a reputed international pet travel agency to assist him in relocating his dearest pet Zanthe. He reached out to one pet travel company based on their volume of advertising and was thoroughly disappointed by the lack of customer care. Gregor says, “After a twenty-minute chat with Petraveller, we felt very confident that all was going to be taken care of.”
Zanthe had a fantastic flight from Melbourne to London and is busy exploring her new home. Thank you, Gregor, for trusting Petraveller for your beloved pet’s relocation. Here’s wishing you and Zanthe incredible adventures in London.
