Archer and Julie

Canberra to Washington DC

Trip Overview

Owner: Julie Ryan

Origin: Canberra

Pet Name: Archer

Destination: Washington DC

Breed: Border Collie

“Archer is a gentle and sensitive boy.”

Petraveller transported handsome Border Collie Archer from Canberra to Washington DC recently. Pet parent Julie talks about her pet’s temperament and tells us what led her to Petraveller for Archer’s international pet travel to the United States.

Archer is a nine-month-old Border Collie who is a very gentle and sensitive boy. Julie says, “Archer is sensitive and timid around strangers. But loves all dogs, big and small, and his soft toys. He is food driven and can be quite aloof when calling his name. Archer has been crate-trained, he is anxious at times but he finds comfort in his crate.”

Julie and her family were moving to Washington DC. She says, “We are a defence family. Initially, we thought about leaving Archer with family for one year while we travelled. We were informed four weeks before our departure that we will be relocating for three years, and we couldn’t leave our pup behind for that long.”

Shipping a beloved pet overseas is a complex procedure with complicated pet import rules and regulations. Hence, Julie decided to take help from a professional pet travel agency to manage Archer’s travel arrangements. She began looking out for a reliable pet travel agency in Australia to partner with and came across Petraveller during her search. After reading reviews online, she reached out to the team to manage Archer’s relocation from Canberra to Washington DC. Julie says, “Petraveller had good reviews and were very helpful right from the initial contact.”

Archer had a fantastic flight from Canberra to Washington DC and is now well-settled in his new home. Thank you, Julie, for showing confidence in Petraveller for your pet’s international travel. We wish you good luck on the move and fun adventures with Archer in the United States.
