Haku and Amanda

“It was love at first sight when we first met Haku.”

Amanda and her gorgeous Japanese Spitz, Haku, travelled from Sydney to Hong Kong to be closer to family. Amanda talks about Haku and her international pet travel experience with Petraveller.

Amanda brought Haku home when his previous owners could not keep him home because of allergies. Amanda reminisces, “It was love at first sight for us when we met Haku. He was so small and adorable when we first saw him. My partner initially did not want to get a dog, but when he saw Haku, he immediately agreed and wanted to bring Haku home.”

Haku is an affectionate and friendly dog. Amanda says with a smile, “Haku is just the best dog in the world. He is energetic and loves being around people. Haku gets very excited when people come over and calms down when everyone is settled down.” Haku loves playing with his family. He loves a good game of tug of war and fetch. Amanda laughs, “Haku only chases the ball we throw but never brings it back!”

Amanda and her family were moving to Hong Kong to be closer to family, and leaving Haku behind was never an option for Amanda. As any pet parent, Amanda was a little anxious about Haku’s flight to Hong Kong. She says, “Haku has separation anxiety and hates it when we leave him alone.” Amanda was looking for the best pet transport company to help with Haku’s relocation to Hong Kong.
