Seb and Kelsey

Brisbane to London

Trip Overview

Owner: Kelsey Considine

Origin: Brisbane

Pet Name: Seb

Destination: London

Breed: Shih Tzu x Poodle

“Seb is a cutie.”

Kelsey and her adorable Shih Tzu x Poodle Seb travelled from Brisbane to the bustling city of London with Petraveller. Kelsey talks about the special bond she has with her pet and explains why she partnered with Petraveller for Seb’s international relocation to the UK.

Kelsey brought home a small black Shih Tzu x Poodle Seb and made him a part of her family. Seb grew up and surprisingly transformed into a white furball. Kelsey says, “Growing up and changing colour hasn’t stopped us; we fit a lot in the last three years.”

Seb is an agile little companion. Kelsey proudly shares, “He does agility and, when in the right mood, can beat a Kelpie around the course.” Seb also has some unique tricks up his sleeve. Kelsey reveals, “If you clap twice and he wants to get picked up, he’ll turn around and let you grab him. His come word is Quickly, and he’s mastered spins, shakes, drops, and even the delightful ability to sneeze on command when you say Huff.”

Seb enjoys playing and can get quite noisy, he grumbles during his zoomies and he prefers interaction over mere pats from strangers. Kelsey mentions, “Seb doesn’t like being patted by strangers and would prefer you to play. He’s wary of new things and can get anxious with too much stimulation. He prefers to sit with someone or in his own space. Seb is fine with well-behaved dogs.”

Seb’s personality shines through his adorable quirks. Kelsey shares a delightful anecdote, “There is a hole where a microwave should go in our kitchen bench at about knee height, and we noticed sometimes Seb sat in it while we were cooking. We decided to teach him to ‘Take cover! Now if you yell no matter where you are downstairs, he’ll run and take cover in the microwave hole. He does a similar thing if you ask him ‘In your crate,’ but way less cool.”

Kelsey was moving to London for work. She says, “We’re moving for two years for work, and we thought hard about if taking Seb was in his best interest. But in the end, we decided that we’re his real home, and he can deal with a bit of change and uncertainty if we’re there with him. He’s going to be a traveller boy!”

To ensure Seb’s smooth transition to London, Kelsey decided to get help from a reliable pet travel service. After reaching out to a few companies, Kelsey found Petraveller to be the perfect match. Reflecting on the decision for choosing Petraveller, she says, “We contacted one or two companies before Petraveller, but their support was nowhere near as calming and friendly, and I didn’t feel as comfortable with them as I did with Petraveller.”

Seb’s paws quivered with excitement as he landed in London, ready to explore the enchanting new landscapes. Thank you, Kelsey, for trusting Petraveller with your precious pet. Here’s wishing you good luck on the move and hope you create cherished memories with darling Seb while exploring the beautiful British countryside.
