Archie and Thamiris

“Archie gets jealous if someone tries to get me from him.”

About two and a half years ago Thamiris’s partner Kyle and his ex-partner decided to get a dog and found Archie from a rescue centre. Thamiris says, “Unfortunately they ended the relationship a few months after, deciding that Kyle would keep Archie. One year and seven months ago, I met Kyle and Archie and fell in love (with both). Kyle had to go back to Scotland after five months. But we decided to keep a long-distance relationship, as he would come back eventually. Since then, I have been taking care of Archie.”

Archie is a well behaved and a loyal dog. He loves cuddles and scratches, especially near his ears and neck. He also knows some tricks – sit, paw and other paw, which he does for a treat.

Speaking of his nature, Thamiris shares, “Archie is a bit of a lazy dog. He loves parks and beaches but is not a big fan of running or walking long journeys. He prefers to sit next to someone and enjoy the sun.” She laughs and says, “He is not very friendly with kids, and he can become jealous if someone is trying to get me from him.”

Thamiris was relocating to Glasgow, Scotland to be with her Scottish partner Kyle. She says, “Kyle had to leave Australia due to visa reasons and he was planning to come back this year. But due to the COVID situation, we had to change our plans and I decided to move to Scotland instead. Leaving Archie behind was never an option for us. We decided to send him over and apply for a visa for me to go and live with my fiancée. We are looking forward the three of us to start our lives as a family.”

Thamiris and Kyle began looking into pet travel options online via Google and Facebook, mainly focusing on the reviews. Thamiris reached out to Petraveller to help her with Archie’s pet travel to Glasgow. She says, “Petraveller has awesome reviews, especially about taking care of pets.
