Archie, Hugo and Rebecca

Rebecca and her two doggies Archie and Hugo relocated to São Paulo in Brazil from Melbourne. Archie and Hugo have the distinction of being the very first pets that Petraveller relocated. We spoke to Rebecca about their pet relocation experience and here’s what she had to say.

When the DeBrincat family decided to bring a puppy to join their family, it was love at first sight when Archie came running to Rebecca as soon as she opened the door. Similarly a few months later, when the family decided to find a companion for Archie, Hugo came running to Rebecca. She recalls fondly, “Both my fur-babies chose me and I couldn’t be happier with the new additions to my family.”

The family had to relocate to Brazil for work, and there was no doubt in their minds that they weren’t taking Archie and Hugo with them. Rebecca spoke to a few other pet relocation companies before choosing to relocate with Petraveller. She says, “As soon as I spoke to Petraveller, I knew I was at the right place. The other companies that I spoke to weren’t as reassuring or compassionate as Petraveller. Like any other pet owner, I had a million questions, and they always took the time to answer all my questions. I was given clear step-by-step information, and even during their transit, pictures and updates were sent. No other pet travel company would give you this service.”

The DeBrincat family decided to move first and then send for the doggies after setting up their new home. Rebecca says, “The three months without them was tough, but I was in close contact with Petraveller who reassured me that they would have all the paperwork ready and Archie and Hugo in first-class care. And they weren't wrong; Archie and Hugo arrived happy, and I was informed at every step along the way.”

Both Archie and Hugo are now happily settled in their Brazilian home. Rebecca says, “I believe that anywhere their family is, they feel at home. The only thing they missed was the food that they were used to, but it didn't take them long to adapt to the new labels in Brazil.”
