Atlas and Kristin

“Atlas adds so much joy to our lives.”

Kristin travelled with stunning Golden Retriever, Atlas, from Sydney to Copenhagen with Petraveller. Kristin talks about handsome Atlas and tells us why she chose Petraveller for Atlas’ international pet relocation to Denmark.

Atlas has been a part of Kristin’s family for a year. Kristin says affectionately, “Atlas is our second Golden Retriever. He adds so much joy to our lives, and we couldn´t imagine life without him!”

Kristin talks about her pet’s amazing personality. She says fondly, “Atlas has a lot of energy and is very social, both with people and other dogs. He loves cuddles, food, and kids. He loves swimming in the ocean and doing training sessions. Kristin laughs and adds, “Atlas will do anything for treats, especially peanut butter.”

Kristin was moving to Iceland with the family. She says, “We are originally from Iceland, and during Covid lockdown, we made the decision to move back home to be closer to family and for work reasons. It was certainly not something we had planned for as we had Atlas, and it never occurred to us that we might move with him overseas. However, we couldn’t imagine going without him as he has become an important part of our family. We know that he will love the nature and beaches in Iceland!”

International pet transport has become an uphill struggle since the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Kristin decided to take help from a professional team that specialises in transporting pets abroad. Based on a friend’s recommendation, Kristin contacted Petraveller and handed over the responsibility of relocating her dog from Sydney to Copenhagen. Kristin says, “We have friends who recently made a move from Sydney to Iceland and recommended Petraveller. They were very pleased with the service and care that was taken of their pup.”

Atlas made his long journey effortlessly and landed safely in Copenhagen. He is now busy exploring the beautiful outdoors and getting used to his new life.
