Bertie and Christian

“Bertie is like Gimli the Dwarf from Lord of the Rings.”

Gorgeous Springer Spaniel Bertie travelled from Perth to Aberdeen with Petraveller. Pet dad Christian talks affectionately about the inseparable bond he shares with Bertie and what led him to Petraveller.

Bertie became a part of Christian’s life when Bertie was an eight-week-old pup. Christian says affectionately, “I’ve had Bertie for four years now. He is my wee boy, my best mate, and one of the lads. He has a great personality and likes being close to people, loves other dogs and enjoys a game. We are inseparable.”

Bertie is a non-aggressive dog. He is friendly, active, non-barky and extremely easy-going. Christian laughs and says, “He is very daft and clumsy, kind of like Gimli the Dwarf from Lord of the Rings.”

Christian was moving back home to Aberdeen, Scotland due to a family illness. As Bertie is a huge part of Christian’s life, it didn't cross his mind to leave him behind.
