Buddy and Timothy

“Buddy is the king of the castle.”

Here’s the relocation story of a ‘pawfect’ king who likes to boss around while lying on fluffy pink cushions. Read to know more about Buddy the Beagle and his international pet relocation experience from Sydney to Dublin.

Timothy gave Buddy a forever home when he adopted him from a family when Buddy was just a year old. Timothy shares, “Unfortunately, Buddy’s family went through a breakup, and the owner wasn’t able to keep him in his new apartment. We think due to this upheaval, he gets upset and worried when one of us isn’t there and does need company with him.”

He continues with a laugh, “Buddy landed on his feet with us as he is our child who gets away with murder. We have had him for over five years now, and basically, our lives revolve around him, and he knows it.”

Buddy has an extremely good nature, he loves children and is exceptionally gentle around small children. Timothy says, “If there’s a child and a dog, Buddy will go to the child first. Buddy's good with other dogs too, but he ignores them a lot of the time and will only interact when he wants to. We have a dog walker who takes him twice a week, and he interacts very well with the dogs she has with her.”

Buddy is very playful and loves food. Timothy laughs and says, “To be honest, he bosses us around, and everything is on his terms. He is vocal when he wants his breakfast, dinner and treats on time. Every Saturday, he gets a new toy, so he checks the shopping bags and gets super excited. The softer and fluffier the toy, the better. We are currently buying soft teddy bears from the children section as he has possibly every dog toy out there. Our back garden looks like a daycare, there are so many toys.”

Buddy is a big softy who loves cuddles and kisses. He loves nothing more than lying in bed with a person. “He has many beds. But he likes to lie on the fluffy pink cushions on the sofa like a king of the castle. He is our baby, and we love him so much,” says Timothy.
