“Crumpet and Fluffy are part of our life.”
Here’s a pawfect travel story of Australian Cattle Dog Crumpet who is very chatty and Maltese Fluffy who is quiet and reserved. Read to know more about Crumpet and Fluffy and their international pet relocation experience from Sydney to Glasgow.
Crumpet became a part of the Brumwell family as a seven-week-old puppy during the Covid-19 lockdown. Nicole shares, “My daughter had been wanting a larger dog for a long time, and Crumpet became hers! She is still a bit immature and needs training. She loves everyone and gets too excited and jumps on them.”
Crumpet is happy, excitable and a fun doggo. Nicole laughs and says, “Crumpet is nicknamed Piggy because she always loves the spotlight, food, and the warm spot. She makes a fuss if someone is sitting in her spot or eating in front of her. Crumpet can be a bit mouthy when over-excited, but it dissuades her if a toy is in her mouth. She is a chatty dog and is very vocal.” Nicole adds, “Crumpet gets nervous of things, especially cars and likes the reassurance of family but is generally a very happy girl.”
Fluffy joined the Brumwell family when she was fifteen months old. Nichole shares, “Fluffy is nicknamed Noodle and has one brown eye and one blue eye. She is quieter, more reserved and very low maintenance except for her picky eating and unsociable manner with new people. Fluffy gets anxious and doesn’t like new people. She barks a lot but never bites and is not fond of other dogs.”
Fluffy is more like a cat. She loves a comfy blanket, a warm spot in the sun and doesn’t do wet feet or walk on grass; dry paths only! Fluffy is fussy with her food and eats only if she’s handfed. Nicole says, “Fluffy is a foodie at heart and wants to be pampered. Fluffy is a very easy dog to have around.”
The Brumwell family were heading back home to Glasgow to be with extended family. Nicole says, “My husband has retired, and his parents are in their late 80s. We want to spend time with them while we still can. We had planned on going somewhere warmer to retire, but Covid makes you realise how important it is to be close to family. We were going to leave the dogs with our daughter initially, but, she is coming with us, and so the dogs are too. Crumpet and Fluffy are our family. They sleep on the bed, live on the lounge and are part of our life.”
Nicole decided to hire professional pet transporters to organise Fluffy and Crumpet’s journey without any hassle. She reached out to a few pet travel agencies and received a quote and had a few emailed conversations with one of them. Nicole says, “They were cheaper, but Petraveller’s reviews were better. I was more interested in my pet’s comfort than the price.”
Thank you, Nicole, for choosing Petraveller for beloved Crumpet and Fluffy’s international relocation. Best wishes on the move, and wishing you and your family many more adventures with Crumpet and Fluffy in Glasgow.
