Diesel, Bella and Fiona

Perth to Dublin

Trip Overview

Owner: Fiona Pender

Origin: Perth

Pet Names: Diesel and Bella

Destination: Dublin

Breed: Staffordshire Terrier x Bullmastiff and Staffordshire Terrier

“Diesel loves Bella.”

Petraveller helped pet parent Fiona relocate her adorable pets, Diesel and Bella, from Perth to Dublin. Fiona chats about her pets and tells us why she chose Petraveller for their international pet travel to Dublin.

Staffordshire Terrier x Bullmastiff Diesel became a part of Fiona’s family in 2012. Fiona shares, “Diesel was one year old when we got him. Diesel’s story is one of abandonment. He was bought by a guy for his girlfriend, but then the couple split, and she did not want to keep Diesel. The guy moved in with his parents, who did not want the dog. That’s how we ended up with Diesel.”

Fiona talks about Diesel’s beautiful nature. She says fondly, “Diesel is sweet, soft and lovable with people of all ages, but is not good with dogs. He loves to sleep in the sun with Bella. Diesel loves water; we have a pool in our back garden. When he gets into the pool, you have to physically get into the pool to get him out of it. Diesel loves going for walks; it is his most favourite thing to do.”

Staffordshire Terrier Bella joined Fiona’s family in 2014. Fiona recollects, “Bella’s owners were friends who were returning to Ireland and couldn’t afford to bring Bella with them, so they asked if we would take Bella. We accepted, but first, we had to get Diesel used to Bella, which took a few months and now Diesel loves Bella.”

Bella is very energetic and hyper. Fiona laughs and says, “Bella is very vocal in every word. While putting a lead on her, she gets so excited and starts to sound like she is screaming. We’ve had her for six years now, and she still does the excited scream every time. When Bella and Diesel are play fighting, it sounds like they are fighting because Bella makes this growling noise which sounds intense. We have learned she is just vocal in everything that she does and has a different vocal sound for each thing.”

Fiona adds, “Bella loves to sleep in the sun with Diesel. She is good with people and dogs and loves to be cuddled. Bella and Diesel have to be fed separately as Diesel eats Bella’s food.”

Fiona and her partner were moving to Dublin, Ireland. “I am sad to leave, but on the other hand, I am excited to get home, especially for Bella and Diesel, because we will be living with my mum, who has land. I don’t know how they will react to the weather in Ireland, but the dogs will have much more room,” says Fiona.

Fiona decided to contact professional pet transporters to organise her pets’ journey from Perth to Dublin. She says, “I was on Facebook Page - Irish expats returning home and saw Petraveller was recommended to people on many different posts. So, I assumed that if multiple people are recommending Petraveller, it’s a good sign.”

We are glad to say that Diesel and Bella had a wonderful flight and landed safely in Dublin. They are now busy exploring the outdoors and getting used to the weather. Thank you, Fiona, for trusting Petraveller with your gorgeous pets. We wish you happiness and exciting adventures with Diesel and Bella in Ireland.
