Here’s the travel story of two lovely Australian Kelpies – Emmie, who is very active and Sven, who is lazy. Join Emmie and Sven on their international journey as they travel from Sydney to Barcelona with Petraveller.

Anna brought home adorable Emmie when Emmie was eight weeks old. Emmie is a very smart, active and extremely loyal dog. Anna says, “Emmie loves to run with us and happily does 20 km without breaking a sweat. She knows what we need her to do before we ask for it. However, Emmie is a bit nervous and needs to be close to us to feel safe.”

Anna smiles and continues, “Emmie is intense, a bit unsure of life some days, and loves to please us. She has a lot of work ethic (work for her is to run with us). Also, Emmie loves to talk to us and loves a good game of fetch. She seeks comfort by asking you to open the blanket so she can crawl under and sleep on you.”

Anna brought Sven home from a farm when he was twelve weeks old. Anna chuckles and shares, “Sven is a very lazy Kelpie who loves balls more than life itself. He is very clever and will listen only if he thinks he will get something out of following the rules.”

Sven is a very affectionate dog. Anna talks about her pet’s vibrant personality. She laughs and says, “Sven is cheeky, lazy, ball obsessed, cuddly and a drama queen. If he wants attention, he will lie on his back, smile, and show his teeth until someone comes and sits with him. He loves when someone sits on the floor so he can come and sit on your lap.”

Anna was bidding farewell to Australia and moving to Barcelona, Spain, to start a new life. She says, “A big part of the move is to be able to run in national parks where dogs are allowed. We want to have snow and be able to take them there. Leaving the dogs behind would never be an option. They are our babies.”

Anna began her hunt for a trustworthy pet travel agency in Australia to organise the entire relocation process. Before reaching out to Petraveller, Anna got in touch with another company.
