Cute Toy Poodle Gertie is a very playful and friendly girl. She loves humans but she starts off a bit shy. She loves to play with balls and sticks. Frans says affectionately, “Gertie spends most of her day as her mother’s shadow or on her lap. Gertie doesn’t eat when we are away. If she doesn’t resume eating due to stress, we have to hand feed her small amounts at a time and stay with her.”

Frans continues, “When left on her own, Gertie sleeps and waits for us to come home. She cries initially but soon shies away into her bed and likes to sleep with her mother’s clothes in her bed. Gertie walks well on the lead and has a very good recall of her name. Gertie is scared of most dogs due to her small size. However, she doesn’t mind tiny dogs.”

Frans was moving to Copenhagen with darling Gertie to be with his family. “We would never leave Gertie behind,” says pet dad Frans.
