Kuma and Hiu

“Kuma is like my daughter.”

Beautiful Toy Poodle Kuma flew from Sydney to Hong Kong with Petraveller. Here’s mum Hiu talking about her pet’s personality and why she approached Petraveller for Kuma’s international pet travel to Hong Kong.

Adorable Kuma joined Hiu’s family in August 2022. Hiu says affectionately, “I treat Kuma like my daughter. In the beginning, she cried a lot when I went to work. Now, she’s clingy and always follows me everywhere. Kuma loves being around people.” Hiu adds, “Kuma is a little timid and is easily scared by noises or tiny movement. She loves playing with toys, especially her first toy – a little sheep doll – which she always carries around.”

Hiu was bidding farewell to Australia and moving back to her home country in Hong Kong. Leaving Kuma behind was unimaginable for Hiu, and she decided to relocate her too.

Moving a pet from one country to another is not always straightforward, and can be overwhelming for pet parents. Hence, Hiu decided to partner with an international pet transport agency to manage the paperwork and travel arrangements for Kuma’s travel. A quick internet search led Hiu to a handful of companies in Australia offering pet relocation services.
