Lance and Deborah

Brisbane to Dublin

Trip Overview

Owner: Deborah Brennan

Origin: Brisbane

Pet Name: Lance

Destination: Dublin

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier x Mini Fox Terrier

“Lance is a fun-loving and adventurous pet.”

Here’s the relocation story of pawesome Jack Russell Terrier x Fox Terrier Lance, who relocated from Brisbane to Dublin with Petraveller. Pet mum Deborah talks about her pet’s temperament and what led her to Petraveller for his international pet travel.

Lance became Deborah’s family pet two years ago when he was a puppy. He is a fun-loving and adventurous pet in comfortable surroundings. Deborah says affectionately, “Lance is very friendly with humans but takes a little time to warm up to certain people. He loves cuddles and knows exactly where to find the most comfortable place to sit. Lance is an empathetic dog. If anyone is upset or crying around him, he immediately goes over to lick them all over to cheer them up. He is very food orientated but does not eat when anxious or overly stressed. However, he does drink water when he is stressed, which helps him calm down.”

Lance is a very alert doggo and is aware of everything happening around him, and his ears are perked up most of the time. Lance is not a fan of loud noises. Deborah explains, “Lance has been anxious and stressed with loud noises for months because he had a lightning strike hit the ground in front of him. Hence, he is quite nervous when there are electrical storms.”

Deborah adds, “We have been doing a lot of extra work trying to distract him out and about during these storms, and he is slowly getting better. However, Lance might look nervous during his journey, and his ears tend to drop down at this time. His facial expressions will make anyone feel very sorry for him. Lance is toilet trained and has no issues going to the toilet. He is familiar with grass for toileting but will go regardless if he has to.”

Talking about Lance’s favourite things to do, Deborah says, “Lance loves to play with toys but does not show any interest if he is stressed or uncomfortable. His favourite things in the world are squeaky toys and soft cuddle teddies, and his favourite thing to do is find their weakest point straight away and rip or break it off. Once he finds the squeaker inside, he will chew that until he pops it.”

After residing in Australia for five years, Deborah was moving back to Dublin. She says, “Due to current events in the world, we decided to move to Ireland. I’m moving with my Australian partner and Lance. Lance was always a part of the conversation. If Lance couldn’t go, we would not be leaving, but thankfully he is.”

Deborah decided to hire an international pet transport agency to organise her pet’s relocation to Dublin and reached out to Petraveller. She says, “I was happy with the reviews I had read before contacting Petraveller.”

We are delighted to say that Lance had a fabulous journey to Dublin. Thank you, Deborah, for trusting Petraveller with adorable Lance. We wish you a wonderful time and exciting adventures with Lance in Ireland.
