Andres adopted Loui in May 2019 through RSPCA in Orange, NSW and gave him a forever home. Later, in November 2020, Andres adopted Chandler through Helping Hearts Animal Rescue in Central Coast NSW and made him a part of the family.

Loui is a very friendly dog. Andres talks affectionately about Loui. He says, “Loui loves butt scratches, sunbathing, cuddling under a blanket, running and being chased by other dogs. He has his self-defence mechanisms: he doesn’t like to be approached suddenly by humans or dogs and reacts to dogs when on lead. However, when introduced properly, you will find a friend for life in Loui.”

On the other hand, Chandler is timid but extremely friendly with everyone. Chandler is very playful, food-driven and vocal. Andres smiles and says, “Chandler is never in short supply of energy. He loves licking your face, sleeping on his back and lying next to you with his face on your lap. He loves his big brother Loui. Loui and Chandler are our family, and they mean the world to us!”

Andres was relocating to Montreal, Canada, for work. He says, “Leaving Loui and Chandler behind was never an option for us.”

Relocating a pet abroad requires a lot of preparation and can be challenging for first-time flyers. Andres was understandably worried about his pets’ international travel to Canada. He says, “This will be our first experience in pet relocation, so we are quite anxious about it, especially since their breeds are rather unwelcome in some countries.”
