Louie and Marina

“Louie is a sweet soul.”

Marina and her lovely Kelpie cross, Louie, travelled from Melbourne to Christchurch with Petraveller. Marina talks about her pet’s loving personality and tells us what led her to Petraveller for Louie’s international pet relocation. 

Marina welcomed Louie into her home when Louie was sixteen weeks old in September 2015. Marina shares, “Louie is a rescue dog and was at a shelter in Sydney. She was a puppy when we got her and is very gentle, happy, playful and lovely.” 

Marina talks about her pet’s beautiful personality. She says affectionately, “Louie is a lovely dog. We adore Louie and treat her as our daughter. She loves people and adores our children, as she was raised around young kids. I used to run a family daycare business from home, and Louie loved to sit by the other side of the fence close to the children.” Marina continues, “Louie has learned what her belongings were and what belonged to the children. Hence, we had very few issues with Louie destroying toys from the children. Louie is a sweet soul.”

Louie loves to play at the beach, in the mud and run with other dogs in the park. Her favourite place is Altona dog beach. Marina fondly says, “We take Louie for walks daily, and she greets people in the park while we are walking her. She draws attention every time we go to the park for a walk. We get lots of comments about how beautiful she is, how playful and how shiny her coat is.”

She adds, “Louie has toys and beds in different parts of the house. She has a soft toy that she takes to bed with her, loves to sleep by our side (on her bed), and loves a kiss. Louie enjoys camping and gets involved in whatever we are doing. My kids love her, especially my little boy who is one year old as they have a beautiful connection.” 

Marina and her family were returning home to Christchurch, New Zealand. Louie was travelling too as Marina couldn’t imagine relocating without her fur baby.
