“Petraveller has been most helpful and informative, especially during COVID-19.”
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Rachael and her gorgeous pets Lulu and Izzy relocated from Sydney to London with Petraveller. Rachael talks about her pets and explains why she chose Petraveller for the international pet travel.
Rachael became a pet mum to Lulu first. She recollects, “I remember going to see the litter she was part of, and there was only her and a male pup left. I wanted the male pup initially, but he was already taken. During that visit, Lulu attached herself to my ankle. I didn’t think anything of it at the time as I had my heart set on the male.”
She shares, “When Lulu came home with me, we didn’t get along that great to begin with. She kept biting and nipping me. It was hard adjusting to each other. However, over those first few months, we grew an incredible bond.”
A year later, Izzy joined Rachael and Lulu. Rachael says, “I wanted to get a friend for Lulu. Lulu didn’t like Izzy very much to begin with, and poor Izzy felt a lot of rejection. But over time Lulu accepted Izzy as a part of the family. She is like her second shadow now.”
Lulu is a highly intelligent dog. Rachael says, “She seems to understand every word that is said. She is very intuitive towards people, whenever I’m upset, she gets sad. Lulu is very dedicated to me and doesn’t really open up or show affection to other humans. It can take some time for her to take to other people.”
Izzy, on the other hand, is timid but is more open and affectionate to others. She loves to be patted and cuddled. Rachael says, “Izzy will always look for Lulu if she can’t see or feel her presence. Unlike Lulu, Izzy is fascinated with birds. When out walking, she will bark under her breath whenever she sees another dog.”
It is evident that Rachael adores her lovely fur babies. She gushes, “Lulu and Izzy are great fun to be with, very funny and full of personality. They are both are very well behaved and take instructions and orders well.”
After living in Australia for fourteen years, Rachael was moving back to London, UK, to be with her family and friends. “I had the opportunity to financially be able to fly Lulu and Izzy with me. It seemed like this is the right time to relocate home as I could never go without Lulu and Izzy, they are a huge part of me,” says Rachael.
Just like any other pet parent, Rachael was very nervous and anxious about their long flight. She began looking for pet travel agencies to help her relocate her pets abroad, as safety was her main priority. She was more than delighted to have come across Petraveller. She says, “Petraveller have been most helpful and informative, especially due to current conditions with COVID-19. They understood how badly I wanted to get home with Lulu and Izzy and made this possible for us. Other companies did not take much care or consideration as they saw my case to be too hard.”
We are happy to say that despite the challenges during the pandemic, Lulu and Izzy made it to London safely and are now busy exploring their new home. Rachael was delighted with the pet travel experience. She says, “I cannot thank Petraveller enough, the whole team, the service, the care, attention, and patience is impeccable. Each of them is truly special and they really care about what they do, not just for the animals, but for the clients and the families as well.”
Thank you, Rachael, for trusting Petraveller and giving us the opportunity to assist with precious Lulu and Izzy’s relocation. Best wishes on the move and here’s wishing you amazing new adventures with Lulu and Izzy in London.
