“Maisy has a love affair with socks.”
They say home is where the heart is, and Maria’s heart firmly belongs to her home town Dublin. She recently moved from Sydney to Dublin, and used Petraveller to relocate her beautiful Golden Retriever Maisy. Maria talks about how Maisy keeps her on her toes all day and shares her international pet travel experience with Petraveller.
Maisy was Maria’s 30th birthday gift from her husband. Maria says affectionately, “She has been the most special part of our family ever since she came home. She is so loving and cuddly and full of fun and mischief.”
Maisy can be stubborn at times. Maria shares, “If she doesn’t want to walk, she will just sit and not move. We found out that dropping the lead and walking off will make her follow. However, we do sometimes have to pick her up and carry her.”
Maisy is very anxious around loud noises. Maria elaborates, “Maisy usually likes to cuddle up beside someone when she feels scared, even if that person is a stranger. She will be happy to do so if she is getting pats. On an initial meeting with someone new, she may bark but after a minute or so she will come around and like to be patted.”
Maria laughs and continues, “Maisy has a love affair with socks; we have hardly any pairs left without holes. Her favourite thing to do is a day at the beach swimming.”
The Martin family were moving back home to Dublin, Ireland. Maria says, “Leaving Maisy behind was never an option for us. She is a huge part of our family, and she comes everywhere with us.”
Maria began her search online for a reputed international pet relocation agency to organise her Maisy’s pet travel. Her online research led her to Petraveller. Maria says, “After doing my research, I felt most comfortable using Petraveller. They had all positive reviews and the staff I spoke with have had their family use the service too.”
Maisy was an absolute sweetheart and had a comfortable journey to Dublin. Thank you, Maria, for entrusting us with Maisy. We wish you good luck on the move and many more fun experiences with Maisy in Dublin.
