Oatley and Sophie

“Oatley has a big dog attitude.”

Petraveller helped pet parent Sophie relocate her cute Spoodle Oatley from Sydney to Amsterdam. Sophie talks about Oatley’s loving nature and why she chose Petraveller to handle her pet’s international journey to the Netherlands. 

Oatley was born in Leppington, NSW in May 2019. Sophie smiles as she recalls, “When we saw Oatley’s curly face, we straight away knew he was our baby boy. Oatley is a very smart and very energetic little guy.” Oatley has been through a lot more than most puppies in the first two years of his life. Sophie explains, “Sadly, the vet made a mistake when desexing Oatley and sliced his urethra, which resulted in a thirty-day hospital visit and another surgery. But he has completely recovered, and luckily, it didn’t change his happy and loving nature!”

Oatley loves cuddles and attention as much as he loves playing with dogs in the park and swimming in mud pools! Sophie adores her cheeky puppy. She says, “Oatley knows exactly what the rules are and will try and bend them where possible. He thinks he is a big dog and has a big dog attitude. He barks at dogs, birds, and flies with his cute curly face. You can’t stay mad at him for long.”

Sophie was returning to her homeland in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She says, “I am excited to bring Oatley to Amsterdam and explore Europe with him by my side!”
