Otto and Zoe

We flew cute Otto from Darwin to London. Here’s proud mom Zoe talking about Otto and explains why she reached out to Petraveller for her pet’s relocation.

The Hooson family adopted Otto when he was just six months old from a rescue centre in Adelaide. Zoe recollects, “Otto was a very cautious soul. It took him a week in our house to find his voice.”

Otto has a very calm temperament and is wary of strangers. Zoe says, “He does not drink as much water as he should and doesn’t eat his food in one sitting. He is very much like a cat. He will do anything for a piece of cheese.” She adds, “He likes to be solitary at times but will come up for cuddles and kisses when he chooses.”

After living in Australia for ten years, the Hooson family were moving back home to London. Zoe says, “We were relocating so that our children could be closer to their grandparents. Leaving Otto behind was not an option at all, as he is a very important family member and our children adore him.”

Zoe reached out to several pet travel companies before choosing Petraveller. She says, “We decided to go with Petraveller as they were prepared to go an extra mile. We were very disappointed with our discussions with another pet travel agency as they were unwilling to change the arrival time in the UK to suit us. Otto is now happily settling down in his home and is adjusting very well to new surroundings. Zoe says, “Otto is doing great and having a blast with all the new smells to sniff and learning to chase squirrels. He doesn’t seem traumatised after all the travel and has recovered from jet lag.”
