Guilherme and his cute little Maltese x Shih Tzu Pipoca had a smooth and a stress-free pet travel experience from Brisbane to Santiago with Petraveller. Guilherme talks about his pet and his experience of using Petraveller.

Pipoca became Guilherme’s family pet in December 2018 as a little puppy. Guilherme shares, “We got Pipoca from a family in Ipswich, met her mom and two little brothers. She was the smallest of the litter, and she came running straight to us when we arrived, so we knew right then and there that she was meant to be part of our family.”

Pipoca is a sweet and calm dog. Guilherme says, “Pipoca has never complained about anything, not even going to the vet to get vaccinated. However, she has always been a bit anxious around other dogs, especially on first encounters, except for a few ones she met while she was still a puppy; there’s always been only one dog she felt comfortable playing

with.”

 Pipoca gets anxious in busy and loud environments. Guilherme explains, “If there are too many people and noise, she’ll either retreat or start pacing around with her tail down, even if it’s our home. On the other hand, if only few people are around, she’ll love to get attention and stare everyone in the eyes until she gets a whole lot of cuddles.”

Guilherme was moving to Santiago, Chile. He says, “Australia is too far from home, and we couldn’t follow our plan to visit as often as we would like, so we decided to move closer to the United States, where I’ve got a new work placement. The first part of our journey will be back home for a few months before the final move to the US.” Leaving his beloved family member Pipoca behind was never an option for Guilherme.
