“Petraveller was attentive and understanding.”
Christine and her handsome boy Ripple recently moved from Sydney to Chicago with Petraveller. She speaks about her pet and explains why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.
Christine and her fiancé Spencer moved to Sydney in July 2018. Christine says, “We were dating then, and my condition for moving here to Sydney included getting a dog. We arrived in July 2018, and we brought Ripple home in September. We were looking at his brother, but unfortunately, his brother passed and Fetching Dogs, the adoption team held Ripple for us to meet. We met Ripple, and he fell asleep in our lap, and we knew he was the one!”
Christine says, “As a puppy, he was always full of energy. He is not fully trained and is still getting the hang of things. He is obsessed with Spencer and me so much so that he will never run too far at the off-leash parks.” She adds, “Luckily, he has never had separation anxiety.
Christine further adds, “Ripple is very cuddly, and sleeps under the covers in bed. He also still naps in between my legs like he did when he was a puppy. He loves stealing socks and is a big chewer. We’ve found that goat horns and the dogwood composite sticks are best for him.”
Christine and her partner Spencer were moving back home to Chicago, USA as their visas were up in June. She says, “We’ve found the time difference is too hard with our families and friends. We want to get back to the US and put down some roots.” She knew she had to take Ripple along as he was such a big part of their family.
To help with Ripple’s relocation, Christine had been quoting companies since January to get an idea of the budgeting. She says, “I reached out to many pet travel companies. When we eventually finalised the date, it happened to be during the Coronavirus pandemic. Petraveller was the only team that reached out to me to tell me what’s what. They were open and honest about the current circumstances, instead of the form email the other companies served us. The team was attentive and gave me clear expectations and understanding of what was happening. I personally like to know why and they were great at explaining how everything will work.”
Ripple made it successfully to Chicago and was a well-behaved lad during his long journey. Thank you, Christine, for your confidence in Petraveller. Wishing many more funny and quirky experiences with your charming boy Ripple!
