“Sterling loves his zoomies!”

Adorable Kelpie Sterling went to his forever home when Ashley adopted him from a local rescue in Melbourne. Ashley chats about Sterling and tells us why she chose Petraveller for Sterling’s international pet relocation to Montreal.

Sterling was adopted from a local rescue centre in Melbourne when he was three years old. Ashley recalls, “Sterling was an energetic boy who loved playing with Labradors and going on walks. As he has gotten older, he enjoys human company more and is happy to get a cuddle sitting next to someone.”

Ashley talks about her pet’s vibrant nature. She smiles and says, “Sterling can be like a cat. He chooses when to come up and get attention but is also very independent. Sterling also likes to run away when he gets the chance. His favourite thing to do is chase small white animals, whether it is a dog, rabbit or chicken, and he has gotten to two of our own pet chooks. Sterling loves his zoomies, and we love making him run around the yard.”

Ashley was moving to Montreal, Canada. She says, “We considered leaving Sterling behind, we had left him behind before during 2016-2019 when we moved to China. This time around, we knew this move would be more suitable for him as he is older now, and we want him to spend his senior years with us.”

Ashley decided to hire an experienced pet transport company to handle her pet’s international journey from Sydney to Montreal.
