Toby and Lesley

“Toby is a confident, outgoing and friendly dog.”

Lesley moved back to her home town Christchurch to be closer to her family and used Petraveller to relocate her cute Cavoodle, Toby. Lesley talks about Toby’s personality and tells us what led her to Petraveller for Toby’s international pet travel to New Zealand.

Toby, a confident and friendly Cavoodle, faced some challenges in his previous home. Lesley shares, “Toby came to live with me in April 2021 from a family that was away from the house all day. He was left out in the backyard during the day and kept escaping the yard by digging under the fence. Since they lived on a very busy road, it wasn’t safe for Toby to stay with them, so I was the lucky one who got to adopt him.”

Despite Toby’s previous hardships, his personality shines through. Lesley describes him as confident, outgoing and people-friendly, especially to men. Toby is fond of greeting other Poodles and is a good watchdog. Lesley explains, “I live in an apartment, and Toby always barks when people are in the hallway or when the garage door opens, but he’s also quite calm, i.e., he isn’t fazed by thunder, storms or fireworks, as so many dogs are.”

Lesley decided to move to Christchurch to be closer to her family. She says, “When I started thinking about getting a dog, I first checked if New Zealand required dogs to go into quarantine on arrival. Thankfully they didn’t, or else I would have delayed getting a dog.”

To ensure Toby’s safe and comfortable journey, Lesley researched several pet travel agencies in Australia and came across Petraveller.
