“The people at Petraveller have all been polite, helpful and cheerful.”
Home is where the heart is! Angela moved back home from Townsville to Auckland with her adorable pets Boudi, Leo and Louise with Petraveller. Angela talks about her pets and shares her pet travel experience with Petraveller.
Angela owned a pet shop in Auckland, New Zealand. One day, Staffy x Bull Terrier, Boudi, and Domestic Shorthair, Louise, came in to the shop as a little puppy and kitten. Angela smiles as she recalls, “I fell in love with them and decided to keep them.”
Blue Heeler x Jack Russell Leo came from Darwin. Angela says, “I wanted company for Boudi while I was at work. I found Leo as a young puppy, but it wasn’t love at first sight for Boudi. It took a couple of years for her to accept him, now it’s love.”
Talking about her adorable pets, Angela shares, “Boudi was the biggest and ugliest puppy in a litter of nine. Her self-esteem was very low, I loved her and gave her a strong name. Her full name is Boudica, who was a warrior queen for the Iceni tribe. Louise was a sickly black ball of fluff, and she used to jump up my leg and cling there with her claws. Hence, the name, Jeez Louise.”
Angela continues, “Leo, full name Leonardo is the friendliest, most loving dog I have met. He hasn’t got a mean bone in his body. When I brought him home, I talked to him to soothe him, and he looked at me with intelligent eyes. I wanted to give him a fitting name hence Leonardo after Da Vinci.”
Angela was returning home to Auckland, New Zealand, with her fur babies. “I have been living, working and travelling around Australia since 2013. I love Australia, but I am now a grandma, and all my children and friends are in New Zealand. It’s time to go home. Covid has changed travel within Australia, and it’s no longer as much fun or free,” says Angela.
Angela realised relocating three pets internationally was not an easy task and decided to hand over the job to professionals who are experts in handling international pet relocations. She began searching for a reliable and pet-friendly transportation company to organise her pets’ international move. She says, “I tried contacting other pet transport companies, but due to COVID-19, none were answering the phone or replying to my emails.”
Angela then reached out to Petraveller to help with Boudi, Leo and Louise’s pet relocation to New Zealand. Angela says, “The people that I have interacted with at Petraveller have all been polite, helpful and cheerful, which goes a long way when you are stressed, and you don’t know the process.”
Boudi, Leo and Louise had a smooth flight and landed safely in Auckland. Thank you, Angela, for trusting Petraveller with your beloved fur babies. We wish you good luck and hope Boudi, Leo, and Louise enjoy the wonderful outdoors of Auckland, New Zealand.
