Buttons and Robyn

“Buttons is an intelligent little dog.”

Robyn moved back home to Auckland from Rockhampton to spend quality time with her dad and used Petraveller to relocate her adorable Maltese Buttons. She talks about Buttons’ temperament and what led her to Petraveller for her international pet transport.

Robyn became a pet parent when Buttons was eight weeks old. “Buttons was the runt of the litter and the only girl. Originally the breeder had selected another family for Buttons but changed her mind after meeting me, and that’s how we became family,” recalls Robyn. 

Buttons has a lot of personality. Robyn says, “Buttons is highly intelligent and a very social little dog who loves everyone, especially kids. She’s happiest when she’s sitting on your lap. Buttons loves having her tummy scratched and behind her ears. Depending upon what mood she is in if you ask her to say hello, she will stand up on her back legs and wave her front paws up and down.”

Robyn smiles and continues, “When Buttons is sitting, and if you point to her left or right front paw, she will offer to shake paws with you using the paw you pointed to. The reward she gets is a nice scratch on her ear on the same side as the paw she offered you. Being an only pet, she’s a bit spoilt but in a good way.”

Robyn was moving back home to Auckland with adorable Buttons. She says, “We are going home to spend quality time with my eighty-five-year-old dad.”

Robyn decided to hand over the responsibility of managing her dog’s move to an international pet transport professional.
