Petraveller moved handsome Curly Coated Retriever, Choco, from Melbourne to Auckland. Pet mum Lina fondly talks about her pet and why she hired Petraveller for Choco’s international pet relocation.

Choco is an eight-year-old Curly Coated Retriever who joined Lina’s family six years ago. Choco is an amazing dog who is very friendly with people and other dogs. Lina recollects, “Due to Choco’s hunter/working breed, he has lots of energy. The first year that Choco was with us was very challenging. He had two previous families, and the last one only kept him for one day. He didn’t have manners, was over-excited about everything and very reactive on the leash. But my partner and I put the effort and time into training him, and now he is just the perfect dog.”

Choco has helped Lina and her partner Jason in more ways than one. Lina says, “My partner Jason found his passion for dogs and became a dog trainer specialising in helping people with their reactive dogs. Nowadays, he does this for a living, and we have our dog training business, thanks to Choco!”

Lina and her partner Jason were relocating to Auckland. “We are a travelling couple, and for the last three years, we have travelled around Australia with Choco. Now we want to continue doing the same in New Zealand. Choco is part of our family, and we are very committed to him, so if we decide to travel the world, he will come with us wherever we go,” says Lina.

Lina decided to hand over the responsibility of Choco’s relocation to an international pet transport expert to make it a hassle-free move.
