“Frankie would make a great goalie.”

Petraveller helped dog mom Kim relocate her cute Poodle Frankie from Melbourne to Auckland. Kim talks fondly about her pet dog and explains why she chose Petraveller for her pet’s international transport. 

Kim became a pet parent when she purchased Frankie when he was ten weeks old back in April 2016. She got him from an elderly couple whose Toy Poodle had three puppies. Kim recalls, “We drove to their house for a look only, but fell in love with Frankie and took him home with us.”

Frankie is very loving by nature and adores his cuddles. Kim laughs and says, “Frankie loves to play with balls and would make a great goalie. He hasn’t been around many people other than family. So, he isn’t a fan of strangers and barks like crazy when anyone knocks on the door. He is also scared of cats and is known to cry when he sees one outside.”

After living in Australia for fourteen years, Kiwi-born Kim was moving back to her home country in Auckland, New Zealand, to be closer to her family and friends. “We did consider leaving Frankie with a friend here in Melbourne. But my daughter decided we weren’t leaving him and has funded Frankie’s flight,” says Kim.

Relocating a pet can bring a lot of stress and worry. Therefore Kim decided to use a pet transport company to handle her pet’s relocation to Auckland. She says, “We are a member of a Kiwi page on Facebook, and we posted asking for pet companies to fly Frankie home. A lot of people on the group advised us to use Petraveller.”
