Geisha and Zoe

“Geisha truly feels emotions.”

As the saying goes: home is where the heart is. Zoe moved back home with her pretty Siberian Husky Geisha to spend quality time with family. Zoe talks about the special bond she shares with her pet and why she chose Petraveller for Geisha’s international pet relocation. 

Zoe gave Geisha a forever home by adopting her from a friend. Zoe shares, “My friend had recently adopted her from an acquaintance. I immediately fell in love with her, even though I had no intention of owning a dog at that time, and now I wouldn’t be without her. Geisha is six-year-old and is a wooly Siberian Husky. I call her Fluffy Cloud because she is incredibly fluffy and pure white!”

Geisha is a dog full of personality, and has several quirky behaviours! Talking about her pet’s fun nature, Zoe says, “She can be incredibly sassy, playful, and at times demanding. Geisha truly feels emotions and can be very sensitive. She loves being lavished with affection, and demands belly rubs, and loves a good head scratch.” 

Geisha is very vocal, and tells you what she thinks, she doesn’t howl, but ‘talks’ with Husky woo woos and has a sharp bark. She is not at all obedient, but is incredibly intelligent and very stubborn, even when she knows it’s not to her advantage. Zoe fondly says, “She brings joy to my life, and I wouldn’t have her any other way, except for maybe being willing to be groomed, as it is an absolute nightmare! Geisha and I foster rescue dogs, and she likes to be the dog pack boss!”

After living in Australia for more than 12 years, Zoe was heading back home to Auckland, New Zealand to spend quality time with her family. She says, “Abandoning Geisha was never an option!”

Like most pet parents, Zoe was concerned about Geisha’s journey as Geisha has an anxiety problem.
