The Sloots family rescued handsome Border Collie Jake and gave him a forever home. Read to know more about Jake as he travels from Brisbane to Zurich with Petraveller.

Jake is a rescue dog who has been a part of the Sloots family for one and a half years now. Melanie talks about Jake’s personality. She says fondly, “Jake loves people and is a pretty chill dog for a Border Collie. People want to pat him everywhere we go because he is so cute, affectionate and loves people. Jake tends to flop on strangers and stays there for pats. However, Jake is super loyal and always wants to be with us.” Melanie adds, “Jake can be reactive towards unneutered male dogs, especially French Bulldogs, Staffies, Pugs, Golden Retrievers and Labradors.” 

Melanie cautions, “Jake has a weird habit of smelling and licking other dog’s urine which results in foam frothing out of his mouth. It’s nothing to be concerned about, but it just looks strange.”

Melanie was moving back to her home country in Switzerland. She says, “My husband has got a job there.” Melanie couldn’t imagine leaving her beloved pooch behind and decided to relocate Jake to Switzerland.
