Leo and Madelaine

“Leo is my best friend.”

Madelaine travelled with her dog Leo from Gold Coast to Dallas Fort Worth with Petraveller. She talks about Leo’s significance in her life and why she used Petraveller for his international relocation to Dallas Fort Worth.

When Madelaine moved from Canberra to the Gold Coast, she was blessed with a cute eight-week-old Australian Shepherd x Poodle pup Leo. Madelaine recalls some fond memories, “Leo loves everyone. I had a dance school, and Leo grew up with many young children and teens, and he adores them. He was a very energetic puppy.” 

Leo is regular at dog parks and beaches and has a big friend group of puppers and doggos of all sizes and breeds. Madelaine says affectionately, “Leo has grown into a beautiful dog, loving to learn new tricks. He absolutely loves his treats. He is my best friend and I love him so much! Leo has been with me through many lows, including PTSD and anxiety.”

Leo is a very friendly, loving dog who is not a dominant but a beta. Madelaine says with a smile, “Leo is a quick learner. He does not like hot air balloons and thinks they are aliens about to invade. Leo loves a good outdoor adventure but is still one of the laziest Australian Shepherds ever.”

Madelaine had moved to Dallas Fort Worth the year before and wanted to reunite with Leo in the Unted States. She says, “I was born in America, and I came here to meet the other side of the family. I have been so lucky to meet my boyfriend here and Leo will complete our little family.”

Madelaine decided to engage the services of a pet transport agency to relocate Leo from Gold Coast to Dallas Fort Worth. She says, “I have been researching Leo travelling to America for around two years. After finding and contacting Petraveller, it was a no-brainer. Leo was a happy passenger during his long flight to the US. He is now well settled in his new home and is busy making new doggo friends.
