Marvin, Newton and Ellisha

“Marvin is sweet, and Newton is rough.”

Here’s the international pet relocation story of two biological brothers, Marvin and Newton, who are like night and day. Read to know more about Marvin and Newton as they travel from Melbourne to Athens with Petraveller.

Marvin joined Ellisha’s family when he was a pup and has been with them for over two years now. Ellisha says fondly, “Marvin is my partner and my first dog. He’s our big baby!”

Newton is the newest addition to Ellisha’s family. Ellisha shares, “We got Newton at the start of October, on Marvin’s birthday! Marvin and Newton are biological brothers from the same dog parents, but two years apart.”

Marvin is a very sweet dog. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. Ellisha says affectionately, “Whenever we aren’t feeling well, Marvin tries to comfort us. He loves to run and gets crazy when he has space. But otherwise, he is very happy to snooze and cuddle all day. However, Marvin gets a little nervous sometimes but calms down with a good pat and a chest rub. Marvin has never been aggressive. He is very submissive and sulky when upset.”

On the other hand, Newton is a very different dog. Ellisha laughs and says, “Newton is a little rough and tumble man! He has a particular spice about him but is very sweet, loves a good cuddle, and wants to get on with things. Newton is more vocal than Marvin and likes to tell you what’s up.” Ellisha adds, “When Newton was eight weeks old, he insisted on walking for an hour and hasn’t slowed down since.”

Ellisha was moving to Athens, Greece, to find new work opportunities. She says, “We hope to travel around the Mediterranean and have some awesome adventures before settling down in Albania or Greece. We both work online and run our own businesses and freelancing. So, we have the opportunity to work wherever we want, and we’ve decided to go for a big adventure whilst we still can!” Leaving her four-legged family members behind didn’t cross Ellisha’s mind at all, and it was obvious they were joining her in the big European adventure.

Ellisha decided to take professional help from pet transporters to organise Newton and Marvin’s international travel from Melbourne to Athens. She reached out to a few pet transport businesses and had a lot of trouble getting a response. She then contacted Petraveller to organise the dogs’ international move.
