Milo Tin and Peter

“We love Milo Tin, and he loves us.”

There is nothing in this world purer than the love of a dog. Here’s the story of Peter and charming doggo Milo Tin, who love each other immensely. Peter talks about his pet’s incredible personality and what led him to Petraveller for Milo Tin’s international pet travel to Sweden.

Kelpie x Border Collie x Heeler Milo Tin was an abandoned farm dog from NSW. Peter welcomed Milo Tin into his home when Milo Tin was just eighteen months old. Peter shares, “Milo Tin didn’t have the training and was very underweight when he came to us. He’s our first dog, and it’s been a challenge to learn to live with a very anxious and energetic dog. But we love him, and he loves us, and his training is improving him every day.”

Peter talks about his pet’s nature. He says, “Milo adores people and is super cuddly and friendly! He prefers sleeping between us and being the middle spoon. However, other dogs freak him out, and that’s still a work in progress. Milo Tin’s first interaction with the neighbour’s Dachshund was peeing on him through the fence, which got pretty awkward!” 

Peter shares a heart-warming incident, “Milo Tin has always been terrified of water. Once, when we rented an Airbnb that had fences all around except at the back because there was a pond there, we thought all was good, and Milo wouldn’t be able to escape the premises. As soon as we said that, he jumped into the pond and swam around, looking super happy. Now we no longer trust Milo Tin and have him on a lead always.”

Peter was relocating to Stockholm with his pet. He says, “We’d never leave Milo Tin behind, we love him too much. We know that the journey will be a bit traumatic for him, but the ability to roam around in the middle of nowhere in the Swedish forests will make him happy. Whenever we take him out to the countryside here in Victoria, we can see him relaxing and being way happier than in the Big Smoke.”
