“Petraveller was helpful and kept me updated during the COVID-19 situation.”
Petraveller helped pet mum Kate relocate her beautiful Burmese cat, Mya, from Sydney to London. Kate talks about Mya’s personality and why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.
Kate always had cats as a little girl. At the age of nineteen, she lost her first cat and never thought of replacing her. As the house was lonely and quiet without a cat, they went back to the breeder. Kate says, “The breeder had a little brown Burmese who would be perfect for our family. Mya was so small and beautiful when we brought her home. That was thirteen years ago. Since then she has grown into everything that I want and love about cats. I hate being away from her for too long. It feels like my life is incomplete without her.”
Mya is a very friendly cat who loves being around people and wants to be included in what’s going on. Kate talks affectionately about Mya, “If everyone is in one room she will have to be there too. If you move rooms, she will follow because she doesn’t like to be left out.” Mya loves to be patted, cuddled and carried around. She used to be so confident and outgoing, but a run-in with a neighbourhood cat resulted in her having her eye badly hurt, and has shaken her confidence. Kate says, “However, she is strong-willed and very chatty, so she may yell her head off for a while on this trip.”
Kate and her husband were relocating to London as her husband is from the United Kingdom. She says, “When looking at where we wanted to start a family, buy a house and still maintain something of our current lifestyle, the UK was so much more affordable.” Being apart from Mya would make Kate unhappy, and it was evident that Mya would go with them.
Kate wanted her dear pet to have a pleasant experience during her pet relocation. She decided to choose an international pet relocation agency to help with Mya’s move. She says, “Petraveller was amazingly helpful. They kept me updated with what was possible, given the COVID-19 situation. They kept me positive about bringing my precious cat to me, as soon as possible.”
Mya made her long journey to London without a worry. Thank you, Kate, for your confidence in Petraveller during these uncertain times. We wish you and your family happiness and good health in your new home!
