“My initial contact with Petraveller was very positive.”
Pretty Border Collie X Kelpie Neachtain travelled from Sydney to Dublin with Petraveller. Pet dad Matthias talks about Neachtain and why he chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.
The Schmid family brought Neachtain home as a three-month-old puppy from a Circus family in Tasmania in 2016. Matthias smiles as he recalls, “She was the smallest puppy of the litter, and we immediately fell in love with her. She has travelled with us all over Tasmania and has done some nice trips in Victoria as well since we moved here.”
Neachtain is a pretty relaxed dog but gets a little anxious when she hears or sees skateboards approaching or other unexpected noises. Matthias says, “She sleeps most of the day until she thinks it’s time for dinner or time for a walk. She immediately senses when one of us is stressed and comes over and cuddles with us.”
After living in Australia for five years, the Schmid family were moving back to Dublin, Ireland. Matthias says, “When we got Neachtain, we knew that we would most likely move back to Europe at some point, so we didn’t consider leaving Neachtain behind. When she was little, we did a lot of crate training to get her accustomed to the crate and a potential journey further down the line.”
He continues, “Neachtain has been on a couple of ferry journeys from Victoria to Tasmania but never been on aeroplane. So it will be an exciting trip for her.”
Matthias decided to seek help from an international pet relocation agency to help him move his pet abroad. When Matthias was on the lookout for the right pet transport company, he came across Petraveller. He says, “My initial contact with Petraveller was very positive.”
Neachtain had a fantastic flight from Sydney to Dublin and is now busy exploring the new environment. Thank you, Matthias, for trusting Petraveller to relocate your pet dog from Australia to Ireland. It was a pleasure to take care of Neachtain on her pet travel. Best wishes on the move and here’s to more adventures with Neachtain in Dublin!
