Petraveller transported handsome Frenchie Rocky from Sydney to Auckland. Pet mum Aroha talks about Rocky and why she chose Petraveller for the international pet relocation.

Aroha and her partner Cory had been looking for a small dog to adopt. They visited the pound for several meet and greets but hadn’t found anything suitable. On their way home from one visit to the pound, they happened to pass a “Dog in the Park” event at Gosford Waterfront. They turned around and popped into it and fell in love with Rocky, who was a nine-month-old Frenchie being fostered by Paws and Claws fostering agency. Aroha says, “We still feel so lucky that we came across him by chance.”

Aroha describes Rocky as a fun-loving puppy with a beautiful nature. She says, “We were told that French Bulldogs don’t need a lot of exercises. But he is a bundle of energy, and we are happy to take him to play fetch at the park or on the beach. He is cheeky enough to try to steal balls or sticks from other dogs.” Aroha laughs and adds, “He’s even managed to steal a soccer ball off a man dribbling at the park.”

Aroha and her partner Cory were moving back home to Auckland, New Zealand due to the Covid-19 crisis. They had decided to move in 2021, but were returning earlier because of the pandemic. She says, “There is no way we would have left Rocky here. He is our little family and will be worth every cent we pay to have him safely transported back home.”

Aroha started enquiring for international pet travel agencies to assist with the relocation. She requested quotes from many pet transport companies before choosing Petraveller for the move.
