“Petraveller was the quickest as well as the most professional to respond.”
Handsome Staffordshire Bullterrier Ronnie relocated to Rome from Melbourne with Petraveller. Pet dad Matthew talks about Ronnie and tells us why he selected Petraveller for his pet’s international relocation.
The Shirtcliffe family was looking to adopt a dog after being away from their family dogs back in the UK and Italy. Matthew says, “After being approved for a sponsorship visa, it gave us the impetus to make the decision to look for a dog. Before too long, we had a puppy running around our house.”
Speaking about his pet’s personality, Matthew shares, “Ronnie is sweet and loving by nature. He is attached to us and doesn’t like being left alone. We’ve never had any trouble with him. However, he does get a bit anxious and isn’t familiar with his crate.”
The Shirtcliffe family was moving to Rome, Italy, after spending almost five years in Australia. Matthew says, “Our visa finishes mid-March, and I decided not to apply for renewal this time. We recently had a baby, and have decided to bring her up closer to our families in Europe. Leaving Ronnie behind was never on the cards. It is non-negotiable that he comes with us.”
Matthew wanted his dog Ronnie to have a comfortable and stress-free travel experience during his relocation. Like any other pet parent, Matthew was concerned about putting his pet through a journey of that length. He chose to opt for the services of a pet transport company to handle the entire relocation process. Matthew reached out to Petraveller to help with Ronnie’s pet transport. “I enquired online to around four different pet travel agencies. Petraveller was the quickest and the most professional to respond. I also read the Facebook reviews, which seemed positive,” says Matthew.
Ronnie had an amazing flight from Melbourne to Rome and is now busy exploring the new city. Thank you, Matthew, for trusting Petraveller with Ronnie’s pet transport to Italy. We wish you a happy life ahead and many wonderful adventures with Ronnie out there in Rome.
